Torna nel mitico circuito di Le Mans la “Le Mans Classic” un evento unico al mondo che vede un concentrato di manifestazioni sportive di alto livello, eventi tematici, aste, esposizioni, dimostrazioni, gare dei bambini, insomma come ogni due anni il programma è molto ricco.

Per la prima volta la griglia del Gruppo C  sarà uno dei punti salienti, una gara che vedrà una griglia di partenza con 40 vetture in forza dal 1982 al 1993, prototipi leggendari che hanno scritto pagine gloriose della storia della Le Mans 24 Ore.

La Porsche come ogni anno si presenta con il maggior numero di vetture in particolare con ben dieci 962Cs, Lancia è presente con due LC2s, due Jaguar una XJR12 e una XJR16, una Mercedes C11, una Nissan R90CK, giusto per citarne alcune delle case automobilistiche, ma ci saranno anche i piccoli costruttori come Alba, Emka, March, Sthemo, Rondeau, Spice e Tiga.

Per i prototipi da 3,5 litri sono rappresentati da una Gebhardt C91 , una rarissima Lola T92 / 10 , e da una Peugeot 905 che celebra il 25 ° anniversario del suo debutto a Le Mans di quest’anno .

Come detto il programma è molto vario e sicuramente nei tre giorni non vi annoierete, anzi forse non basteranno per poter seguire tutto quello che accadrà, ma sicuramente potrà soddisfare la voglia di vivere questo mondo dedicato alle auto sportive d’altri tempi, come è il vero spirito di GTClassic.

L’accesso è libero in tutte le aree pubbliche del circuito, al villaggio, nello spezio dedicato al Clubs, nelle zone dell’intrattenimento.

Per poter accedere alla pista ed ai paddock bisogna prenotarsi con un prezzo aggiuntivo, in questo caso si può vivere una vera esperienza in prima fila, vedendo da vicino le vetture da competizione, vedere i meccanici che fanno l’assistenza ed essere a contatto con i vari piloti presenti.

Little Big Mans, una sfilata di piccoli piloti in erba che con i loro mini bolidi si sfideranno come i grandi campioni, una vero e puro divertimento, ma anche l’occasione per trasmettere alle nuove generazioni la passione per queste vetture e per le competizioni.

Piccoli bolidi che sono repliche fedeli delle vere vetture, mini auto da un grande valore che i bimbi sanno curare d apprezzare, rispettando quello che rappresentano, un insegnamento che sarà utile nella loro vita e che sarà sicuramente un’esperienza che ricorderanno per sempre.

I Clubs: Forte anche la presenza dei Clubs Internazionali con oltre 100 Clubs in rappresentanza di 60 marche con più di 8.000 vetture che si faranno ammirare dal grande pubblico con attività organizzate dai proprietari stessi, dove sarà possibile ammirare modelli unici e soprattutto un’ambientazione ricostruita che ci catapulterà in dietro nel tempo con aree allestite come vecchie officine, vecchie stazioni di servizio e vecchie scuderie da corsa con bisarche e auto da competizione.

L’Asta, da non perdere anche le numerose aste che sono in programma, dove potersi aggiudicare auto da sogno, ma anche piccoli oggetti storici, stampe, dipinti, fotografie, modellini e tanto altro.

Inoltre sarà presente un’area shopping dove poter acquistare oggetti d’altri tempi, pezzi di ricambio, libro, cartoline e tutto quello che lega il mondo dell’automobile con il passato.

Ci vediamo a Le Mans !

For the first time, the Group C grid will be one of the highlights of the 8th Le Mans Classic with a race that has already attracted 40 cars as a curtain-raiser to one of the greatest historic race meeting in the world. In force from 1982 to 1993, these legendary prototypes wrote some of the most glorious pages in the history of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

As was the case in the Group C days Porsche supplies the highest number of cars out of the 16 makes on the entry list with 10 962Cs. Its main rivals of that era are also down to appear in the Sarthe including two Lancia LC2s, two Jaguars, an XJR-12 and an XJR 16, a Mercedes C11 and a Nissan R90 CK – the most powerful car seen in the Sarthe with a power output of 1128 bhp! Alongside the major manufacturers the small constructors, a vital part of the Le Mans 24-Hours scene, will be present in force with Alba, Emka, March, Sthemo, Rondeau, Spice and Tiga. The final evolution of that generation of sports prototypes, the Sport 3.5-litre machines, is represented by a Gebhardt C91, a very rare Lola T92/10, and above all a Peugeot 905 celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Le Mans debut this year.

In other words, the expected 110 000-strong crowd will attend an unprecedented retrospective on 8-9-10 July. However, before coming to Le Mans Classic, the Group C grid will make its 2016 debut next weekend at Jarama-Classic, a new meeting organised by Peter Auto.

There is the track of course, but also the paddocks where the mechanics work on the car and the drivers wait for their driving session. An extra fee, only in pre-booking, is necessary to be close to the 400 racing cars which model participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1923 and 1979.
